Ådalens Industrimuseum, located in the historic heart of Nyland within the High Coast, functions as a gateway to the rich industrial heritage of the Ångermanälven ådal, cradle of Swedish industrial society. This historical museum not only showcases industrial development but also celebrates the cultural heritage and industrial milestones that shaped the nation.

The venue, which was once the Imperial Barracks, now houses permanent and changing exhibitions depicting the country's rich industrial history. The museum offers a comprehensive look at the industrial processes that were central to the region's development, including an impressive model of Sandslån's sorting facility located in a former dockside workshop.

The museum works continuously to develop its exhibitions, with a focus on the history of working life, everyday life and the unknown roles of women in industry. The environment is brought to life with authentic reconstructions, such as the dormitory from the logging era, complete with original scents and atmospheres. The experiential journey is enhanced by musical accompaniment created by local musicians, creating an immersive historical experience that resonates with visitors of all ages.
